2016 The year so far- Time flies when you're achieving goals and having fun!

It's been another smashing start for Team Ward with so many fantastic individual and team achievements including multiple podiums, personal bests and more Worlds qualifications for both Sunshine Coast 70.3 World Champs and the ITU World Champs in Mexico later this year. We have welcomed several new team members, had another awesome action packed and challenging annual training camp in stunning Port Macquarie, and enjoyed many quality team events and group sessions. The photos really tell the tale, but as coaches we continue to be proud of each one of you for the effort and dedication you put in to your personal journey towards achieving individual performance goals and success. The best part for us is to witness the team camaraderie, friendships and personal growth in such a wonderful bunch of people. In the next few weeks we look forward to heading to the Hunter Valley for our annual tour, and cheering on 3 of the team tackling the legendary Challenge Roth Ironman. We then anticipate everyone bringing home strong the last half of the year with their major goal races after a solid winter. Remember Winter Pain = Summer Gain!

2015 finishes on a high. With every end is a new beginning and Team Ward are set to fire in 2016

It has been an impressive year end for our team with more racing success; including an Australian title, further Worlds qualifications, age group wins, podiums and most importantly personal bests. It’s always inspiring to see so many outstanding performances and personal achievements so well done to you all. We have just come home from another sensational week in the Snowy Mountains which has given everyone some solid base training and motivation to kickstart another big year of training and racing ahead.

Quarterly Update- Success doesn’t just come and find you, You have to go and get it!

It’s been a fleeting finish to winter and a flying start to Spring and the new season of racing for our team; with 6 of our crew racing World Champs, already some 2016 Worlds 70.3 qualifications and plenty of personal bests and podium finishes.  Winter is the perfect time for solid base training and we like to invest in the off season to work on skills, technique, general strength and endurance development across the three disciplines through specific individual and group sessions.  With a number of our athletes heading overseas to race Worlds and International events it was a solid few months for most, training through winter (which was pretty wet and cold this year). It’s been inspiring to watch the team continue to grow and develop and to see many competing so well in local running events, duathlons and time trials with some speedy results showing very encouraging signs for the Tri season. We even had time to sneak a few camps in there.

April-June Update- Good things don't come to those who wait. They come to those who work their butts off and never give up!

As usual it’s been an action packed few months with loads of racing, group sessions and events, and as always we have witnessed many spectacular performances with numerous Worlds qualifications, race wins and some podiums along the way- the Team never disappoint.  It’s also been an exciting time with many celebrations for babies, weddings and engagements.

January-March Update- Hello 2015! It's all about the journey

What a tremendous start it’s been to 2015 for Team Ward.  With 2 camps already under our belt, lots of racing, heaps of quality group events and sessions it’s been an action packed few months.  We welcome a few more new faces, and have observed more outstanding race results and improvements in all of our athletes.

October-December Update- Celebrating Success! Sensational finish to 2014

"Success means having the courage, the determination and the will to become the person you believe you were meant to be"... (George Sheehan)

August & September Update- Worlds wrap, start of the Oz Tri season, and our inaugural Tour De Canberra training camp

It’s been another jam packed couple of months with the run season coming to a close and the triathlon season kicking into full swing.  The major highlight these past few months has been the success of our Worlds athletes who had stellar races and did us all so proud against the best in the world at Edmonton ITU Olympic and Sprint distance events, as well as the Mont Tremblant 70.3 World Championships, both in Canada. Well done- Pat (Sprint), Dave L & Rachel (Olympic), JA & Jo (70.3). This is just the start of a great season of racing ahead for each of you.

Winter Wrap, Worlds Prep, New Faces & Ramping up for the season ahead!

The winter months have been action packed with outstanding race results from many Team Ward athletes including some impressive overall race wins, age group podiums and continued personal bests. Whilst it’s important to enjoy some down time, we believe that winter is the best time to lay the foundations for a successful race season ahead.

June - Winter Update

Whilst it's the winter offseason for most, it's been a busy month for our crew.

May - Ironman Oz update

Wow! Words cannot describe how proud we are of the sensational performances from all of you at Port Macquarie Ironman. First timers Laura Harris (1st age & off to Kona) 11.03, Danny 11.43, Tim 12.07, Leanne 13.25 - you all looked strong & steady on a tough day. Then our 2nd timers who pulled off huge PBs from last year, Sonya (7th in age) 10.57, Jeff in 11.47 (1hr+ PB), you both looked amazing and in control all day and it was awesome to see all that hard work pay off.
