October-December Update- Celebrating Success! Sensational finish to 2014

"Success means having the courage, the determination and the will to become the person you believe you were meant to be"... (George Sheehan)

With the Australian triathlon season in full swing, we have witnessed more solid race results; with several Age Group wins, Top 5 and Top 10 performances, Worlds qualifications, as well as consistent improvement and personal bests in all our athletes across the board. This year has seen a significant growth of the team, and as coaches it’s awesome to see the wonderful bond and friendships not only making training more fun but encouraging better performance.  To wrap up the stellar year we had lots of fun with our Sydney crew at the Team Ward Christmas BBQ over the weekend, celebrating the successes of a solid year of personal achievements.

Key Highlights;

  • Callalla Triathlon- Jo S (AG win), Ben T (9th)

* November

  • Western Sydney 70.3- It was a tough day out there in Penrith with a slow non wettie swim, a hot bike and a super slog in the scorching and dry heat for the run. Despite the challenging conditions there were still many PBs and smashing performances...Ryan S (7th AG/4.36 & PB), Peter S (4.54, worlds qualification & PB), Mike R (4.54 & PB), Thomas L (5.00), Nicole P (4th in AG/5.03 PB and 25th female overall!!), Ben T (5.11 & PB), Nicole C (14th/5.33 & PB), Jo S (16th/5.47 & PB), Corina B 6.20 in her first triathlon!! and bike weapon JA did 2.26 on the bike to steal a win in the women's teams.
