Training Camps

Ward Coaching run a number of triathlon training camps throughout the year focussed on specific fitness development and catering for athletes wanting to get the most out of their training in a great location with a great group of people.

All our tri camps are boutique style catering to small groups so you don’t feel like a number and ensure you have plenty of access to professional coaches and support. Where possible we aim to have expert guest speakers and information sessions on all things triathlon. At each destination we base the training and courses around the athletes attending and their training goals and provide specific race tips to prepare you for upcoming events and set you up for acheiving new PB’s. We train hard but also ensure the social side isn’t forgotten.

What we offer

Snowy Mountains – Jindabyne
(2018 dates TBC)
A week long tri camp with challenging alpine riding, trail running and swimming in the beautiful Lake Jindabyne. This camp is focussed on building strength and endurance for late season races or for just kick starting your training. Perfect for long course or Ironman racing. Port Macquarie – Ironman Australia Training Weekend
31st March – 2nd April 2018 (Easter weekend)
A great weekend training camp focussed on athletes racing either Port Macquarie Ironman or 70.3. We have plenty of racing and local knowledge for this one with coaches having been on the podium in both races at the professional and age group level and with coach Laura Harris calling Port Macquarie home.

Hunter Valley Tour / Running Festival
21st – 22nd July 2018
A beautiful long ride up to Pokolbin on Saturday finishing at Harrigan’s for lunch and a pint followed by either the half marathon or 10km at the Hunter Valley Running festival (new course this year) on Sunday then tour the vineyards in the afternoon. More a social training weekend than a full on camp.

Canberra Tour – Cycling Camp
(2018 dates TBC)
Perfect preparation for Ironman Western Australia this is a very popular training camp with fantastic riding in the mountains, time trialling on the flats and great running around the lake.

All our camps require athletes to ride on the open road and at times to ride in a group format. As such we require a competent level of bike skill and ability. We also request all athletes hold Triathlon Australia or Cycling Australia membership for insurance purposes.

Feel free to send us an email if unsure.

If you are interested in joining us on any of our camps and would like further information, please contact us so we can add you to our exclusive mailing list and keep you informed when camps open for registration as places are limited!
